The Bookcliff Bittercreek bison tag or as we call it the “roaded tag”, covers the entire Bookcliff range except for the designated Roadless area. On this hunt we use Toyota trucks, side by side’s, and move from glassing point to glassing point in search of a roaming herd. We have horses available to help with packing out, if needed. Your hunt will likely take place around 8,000’ in elevation but could be as low as 6,000’ closer to the desert floor.

This is a large area, clients can expect to cover a lot of country and spend a lot of time behind glass. Due to their natural roaming behavior bison can be hard to scout. A herd can be here today and gone tomorrow. Knowing their favorite hold up spots is what makes us a valuable resource on this type of hunt.
7 day hunt with 2 guides – $7,000 (meals and lodging not included).
Meals and lodging can be added for $1,500.
Lodging is a 14×16 wall tent with large cot and quality bed rolls. Meals will be good quality, using traditional western cooking methods such as dutch ovens and open fire grill.
