We are now offering a fully furnished private land bear hunt with hounds in eastern Utah. Tags are available over the counter. These hunts are conducted behind locked gates on over 30,000 acres of private land plus all the surrounding BLM and Forest Service land.
We have teamed up with guide Kannon Tummor and his pack of hounds known as the “A team”. As a family member to the main ranch, Kannon has grown up hunting and guiding in this area. Over the years he has put together one of the best packs of bear dogs in Utah today. We are glad to have him as part of the team and look forward to the success he is going to bring.
This area is known for producing quality boars as they will be the focus of this hunt. To maintain a quality bear population, we ask clients to be prepared to pass on bears we feel are unfit for harvest.
There are times when lion activity is high on the ranch and may also present an opportunity to be harvested.
Over all this is typically an exciting hunt with lots of dog action throughout the week. Hunts will be conducted with trucks and side by side Utvs.
Lodging is nice cabin accommodations with private bed, bath, and shower. There is also a fully stocked kitchen where all meals will be furnished. This hunt is a perfect option for a small group looking for a comfortable private getaway.
Success on bear is over 75%
$2,500 kill fee if a lion is harvested in addition to a bear.
