PEAX Gear We Recommend Often
Some pieces of gear solve problems on almost every hunt. These are the PEAX products Allout regularly recommends for dependable light, weather protection, and lightweight shelter.
Backcountry essentials

Carry two
Backcountry Duo Headlamps
Headlamps are non-negotiable. We recommend every client carry two dependable headlamps in the backpack so a dead battery, lost light, or equipment failure never leaves you in the dark.
The rechargeable PEAX Backcountry Duo is one of the best hunting headlamps we have used. Its bright red mode is especially valuable on hunts involving horses or mules. In our field experience, red light is less disruptive to their eyes while still providing useful light for saddling, packing, and traveling before daylight.
Protect your boots
Storm Castle Hunting Gaiters
PEAX Storm Castle gaiters are one of the better gaiter designs we have found and a useful addition to almost any hunt. They help keep snow, water, mud, brush, and debris away from your boots and lower legs.
Backcountry shelter
Solitude Tipi Tents
For backcountry hunters, PEAX offers lightweight, packable Solitude tipi shelters in multiple sizes. We can help decide whether a solo tent or a larger tipi setup makes sense for your crew, season, and expected weather.
Use it before you need it
Set up the shelter, test the headlamp modes, charge every battery, and wear the gaiters with the boots and pants you will use. Critical gear should feel familiar before the hunt starts.
